Working for Good

“And we know that ALL things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 HCSB

This is one of my favorite scriptures I love to quote when things don’t work out the way I desired it to happen. This thing called life can be disappointing at times, but it’s all about perspective. That’s what this scripture is about, perspective.

Does ALL things work toegether for my good?

Does that include the things I’ve caused of my own doing?

Does disappointment, hurt, rejection, and loss work together for my good?

Look at that scripture again, it says, it’s working for good to those who LOVE GOD and are CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE.

So, no matter what it may look like to you or anyone else; because you love God, what you are going through is working for good. You are called according to His purpose and not your own. So, let me say it again, what you are going through is working for good. It’s all about perspective.

Do you love God enough to change your perspective about the uncomfortable situation that is at hand?

Because if you love God, you will trust Him in the process. If you love God, you will believe the plans He has for you are for good and not evil, but of an expected end. If you love God, you will lift your head up toward Him. You will walk by faith and not by sight. It may LOOK like you’re defeated, but always remember LOOKS can be deceiving.

A person with a godly perspective doesn’t live by what it looks like, but by who he or she knows. So, do you know the ONE you LOVE? Have you not heard what He would do for His children? We are kings and daughters of the Most High God. God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ever ask or think, but it’s only according to the power that works within us. Ephesian 3:20

Oh, this Word is for me, too. A constant reminder is our God to let us know who we are in Him because we are called according to His purpose. Not man’s purpose. Not even our own’s purpose. Our destiny is tied into the will of God. No man can close doors that God wants open and neither can man open doors that God wants close.

My sister, my brother, I want to encourage you to be mindful of how you handle uncomfortable or unpleasant situations that may not look good to the natural eye. Because this thing call life has to be lived by faith, not by sight.

“For we live by believing and not by seeing.” 2 Corinthians 5:7 NLT
