Our mission is to eradicate the stigma of counselors while empowering and equipping others to tackle their issues of life through awareness, beliefs, and Christian counseling.

Meet Our Founder

Tyra Rowell has an Educational Specialist degree in Counselor Education from Mississippi State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Family Studies from Mississippi University for Women. She is licensed as a School Counselor in the state of Mississippi. She has obtained her National Certified Counselor credentials from National Board of Certified Counselors. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. She is an Adjunct Instructor at East Mississippi Community College teaching Human Growth & Development. She is an ordained minister with the gifts of teaching, counseling, and writing. She has a heart to serve and help others. She has authored and self-published three books, Unapologetically Being Me, Writing through the Valley, and Anything She Says.

Christian Counseling

Christian Counseling
This service is available for teens, families, couples, groups, and individual adults. Areas of counseling focus include but are not limited to:

• Family issues and Codependency
• Teen issues such as bullying, self-esteem, sexual identity, and suicide prevention
• Grief & Loss
• Divorce
• Depression
• Stress and anxiety
• Resolving childhood trauma and abuse
• Pre-Marital Counseling
• Marital Communication issues
• Marriage & Family Counseling
• Temperament Therapy

Counseling Sessions

Each counseling session is 40 minutes in duration on a weekly basis and as needed. A donation of $25 to the Issues of Life, Inc. is expected at time of services for counseling.  We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and your donation helps provide more services for the community. Your donation is much appreciated.

24-hour notice is required for cancelled appointments.

Issues of Life, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to serve individuals and families in our community. We desire all people to be well mentally, physically, and spiritually. To accomplish our mission, we depend on the help and generosity of individuals and businesses within the community. Donations go toward the support groups, psychoeducational classes, counseling sessions, and related support that we provide to those in need.
