Issues of life are to be tackled, not hidden

“Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23 NKJV

It is imperative to guard your heart with diligence for whatever is there will come out through your actions and words. You say what you feel because it’s in your heart. You do what you do because it’s in your heart. If you want to know how a person feel about anything, listen to what they say and watch what they do. Like Maya Angelou said, “When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.”

What are some issues of life we need to tackle?

Bitterness, envy, malice, abuse, grief, anxiety, depression, anger, stress, relationship issues, self-esteem, divorce, trauma, and etc. Basically, any issue of life that causes you to step out of character that is not pleasing to God.

My sister, my brother, I want to encourage you to tackle your issues of life by guarding your heart with all diligence. For what’s hidden is bound to come out. And when it does, tackle the issue that is at hand. We all have fallen short of the glory of God. Arise from it with dignity knowing you can be restored and transformed into the person God created you to be. Lean on the Lord to help you deal with your issues of life. Get counseling if you have to, there is nothing wrong with seeking therapy. It doesn’t mean you’re crazy or the doctor just want to prescribe medication. Therapy works and so does the blood of Jesus. There’s nothing wrong with having both.

“A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. Matthew 12:35 KJV
