Pray and Give Thanks without Ceasing

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NKJV

Always rejoice, but how? There is so much happening right now.

Rejoice by praying continuously for the things that are happening. Pray for the leaders and people in authority. Pray for your family and others’ families. Pray things will get better. This world may be chaotic, but don’t let the things of this world keep you from talking/praying to God. Especially about the things that frustrate you or the things you can’t control.

Another way to rejoice is by giving thanks in everything because gratitude keeps our attitude in check. It’s so easy to get anxious and frustrated by the things that are happening in the world, but we have to find something to be thankful for. We have to think positive and keep our minds sane.
